I am a PhD candidate in public economics at the University of New Mexico, a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy Research Scholar (interview/profile here) alumna, a UNM Center for Social Policy fellow, and a Bolin Fellow at Williams College. I will be a Visiting Assistant Professor at Williams College beginning in the fall of 2023.

My research interests are in the intersection of public and health economics, including food insecurity, Latinx and LGBTQI health, federal assistance programs, policy evaluation, health outcomes, and the social determinants of health (including education).

I am New Mexican, hailing from the mountains east of the beautiful city of Albuquerque. My family has farmed in this small community for generations. I am Hispaña/Nuevamexicana, meaning my ancestors have been in New Mexico since before 1598, and so I have Hispanic and Indigenous heritage. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, gardening, hiking, running, and traveling.
